But unfortunately, I speak German and I am a very bad at lying, so.. Well, you get the gist. And even if the one person on the phone doesn't speak English, you will be connected to somebody who does. Don't worry about that. There are people in this country who barely speak any German at all and still they get the help they need. :-) I am sure they would have switched to English if I had told them that I don’t speak German. But unfortunately, I speak German and I am a very bad at lying, so.. Well, you get the gist. And even if the one person on the phone doesn’t speak English, you will be connected to somebody who does.

Don’t worry about that. There are people in this country who barely speak any German at all and still they get the help they need.

I could barely understand what you were telling them, and then they only spoke German when they showed up... I can only assume they speak German on the phones as well ;-) What? And as you have maybe noticed, many people in this country are able to speak English.
